Ten years of togetherness
The end of March 2025 marks ten years since the emergence of KUNE as an organization. Ten years shaped by passion, dedication, and the collective energy of those who have walked this path with us — transforming not just the organization, but all who have been part of its journey.

What began as a small gathering of friends has grown, year by year, into larger-scale events and eventually into an all-out festival — for art, culture, and togetherness, shaped by a community sharing the same core values and beliefs. This milestone is both a reflection and a celebration. An opportunity to honor the values that unite us and to express gratitude for the friends we have met along the way and those whose paths we have yet to cross.

An embodiment of values
Today, KUNE Festival is a gathering of people sharing the same vision and values despite any differences in personal stories and backgrounds. United by a collective desire to experience and drive culture forward. This group of people is exactly what continuously embodies and proves our core belief:

KUNE Festival is not just a celebration of art and culture. It is a capsule of shared life fragments, moments, and efforts, accumulating collective energy and driving us and our community forward for much more than just the five-day experience we share on the island. 

We remain rooted in independence and collaboration, and aim to create a safe space to facilitate and accumulate artistic and cultural activities of high quality and substance.

Our dedicated teams responsible for the art program and workshop selection ensure a diverse and stimulating experience for our attendees while offering anyone with an idea, and the desire to execute it, the possibility to make their own workshop, exhibition, or art project. We do this to foster co-creation and cross-platform collaboration. We view art as the universal binder of diverse people. Through it, we work towards nurturing diversity into a spring of cultural ideas and innovations. Through it, we envision a better world for everyone.

A celebration of efforts and a collective future
As mentioned, this year marks a decade of everything we believe in and tirelessly work towards. To commemorate our work and the growth of our community, we are organizing a small-scale event with the following programme: 

• An opening reception
• A brief introduction/greeting with welcome drinks/snacks.
• A screening of the Sound Of Escape documentary filmed at KUNE Festival 2023.
• “Sound Of Escape” is a visual time capsule. A living postcard, capturing the emotions that best describe the niche culture of electronic music. With a hypnotic approach, the short film delves into the Nordic electronic music scene through a series of interviews with DJs and producers, offering a nuanced insight into its significance.
• One or two experimental performances with a duration of ~45 minutes each.
• A homage to a segment of contemporary culture, positively influencing a large group of people around Copenhagen and the entire world.
