This is the most acclaimed theatre piece by playwright and poet Ntozake Shange: “for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf”. The theatre piece was nominated for a Tony Award in 1975. This is the first time the piece premieres in Denmark.
The play is an innovative combination of poetry, drama, music, and dance that tells the stories of seven women who have suffered oppression in a racist and sexist society but also celebrates their lives, their vitality, their colorfulness thus making the piece ultimately uplifting.
